  • Fenton Cup Round 2 Vs Docklands Albion

Although it's dissapointing to go out of the Fenton Cup, the club can only show pride in the effort from the bare eleven players we had available.

With half the squad cup tied for the Reserve Team Fenton Cup squad and no less than 14 other squad players unavailble for a variety of reason it was always going to be an uphill battle to overcome the most in form team in the Essex Alliance. We were so short that even the Chairman was on standby to make an appearance,.... almost a decade after he played his last competitive game of football. Thankfully we didn't need to give him a heart attack.

The game could have gone either way, as both teams battled but an unlucky bounce from a failed clearance fell to the Docklands ALbion striker who nipped in to cooly finish.

We wish Docklands Albion and every associated with the club the best of luck in the cup and the league. No doubt the club will achieve promotion to the Premier Division next year and go further in the cup.
